Our Experience
At Blake, our team’s experience spans 30+ years of environmental compliance and public service. We could put all of our experience here, but who has time for endless scrolling? Below is a sample of some of our more interesting projects that should give you an idea of what we can do for you. Don’t see what you need? No problem, we can figure that out for you, too!
NEPA – Categorical Exclusion (CATEX)
Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) Ditch Enclosure, Georgia
This Categorical Exclusion (CATEX) was completed for AGS and the Federal Aviation Administration. The airport proposed to enclose a ditch situated at the southern end of Runway 17-35 that was undermining the runway safety area (RSA). The project was needed to prevent further erosion of the RSA.
NEPA – Environmental Assessment (EA)
Union County Boat Ramp, Lockhart, SC
Union County, in partnership with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), constructed a boat ramp along the Broad River north of the Town of Lockhart. The project required coordination with the Town, SCDNR, and Lockhart Power, who owns the dam downstream of the ramp.
Due Diligence
Corley Mill Road/Sunset Split, Lexington, SC
Our team completed a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment for an intersection improvement in Lexington, South Carolina. The 78-acre study included both commercial and residential parcels.
Due Diligence
Assembly Street Safety Improvements, Columbia, SC
This linear project is located in the heart of downtown Columbia adjacent to the SC Statehouse complex. Assembly Street is the main north/south artery through Columbia and is heavily developed with commercial and residential properties. Despite the small project footprint, it is one of our largest Phase I studies with 1,768 findings along 0.31-mile of Assembly Street.
Due Diligence
Rich Hill Recycling Center, Lancaster County, SC
Blake undertakes projects both large and small. This Phase I assessment was a single parcel that the county wanted to purchase for their convenience center. The site was already developed as the county had been leasing the land for several years prior to the purchase.
